Jackson JS Spectra Bass
The Jackson Spectra Bass JS Series, are available in 4-string and 5-string designs. These bass guitars look stunning, with a quilted maple top, and poplar body. The style of the bass has a reduced neck dive, which balances out the off-set design.
This allows for hours of comfortable playing. The Spectra bass has a graphite-reinforced, bolt-on, maple neck, with a scarf joint design. This well-built instrument is solid and reliable, as well as eye-catching. It has a speed neck contour and a laurel fretboard, with a 12″-16″ compound radius. The playability will allow you to move around the fretboard quickly and comfortably.
The Spectra Bass JS Series delivers a huge, unique sound, that has a deep, heavy, growl. Whether it be funk, hard rock or gospel,It comes equipped with Jackson’s dual-passive, medium-output, humbucker pickups, and a durable, HiMass bridge. It’s not as heavy as other bass guitars. The heaviness is in it’s tone. It sounds great for any genre of music, from funk to metal.
The JS Series bass comes with a two-way toggle switch, a 3-band active EQ, with a bypass selector, for the active circuit. The selector has a push/pull feature, allowing you quick and easy access, if you need to bypass the circuit. You can play with the confidence of knowing, that you don’t need to rely on battery power, to maintain the sound of your bass. The tone, blend and volume knobs will let you fine-tune and create your tone.
There are three models in The Spectra Bass JS Series features three models: the JS2 4-string bass, the JS3 4-string bass and the JS3V 5-string bass.. Each model has the off-set body design, with a large upper horn, to evenly distribute the weight of the bass.

Whether it be funk, hard rock, or gospel, a colossal Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup deliver a range of punchy growls or lucid tones, while the hardtail bridge provides enhanced stability, improved sustain, and bolder timbre. This classic P/J combo delivers a sonically full voice with both boom and bark. The P-style neck pickup packs an authoritative punchy thump with more rounded high-mids and treble range, while the J-style bridge pickup delivers sharp and articulate tones.
Tone can be refined and tweaked with the blend, bass boost, and volume controls (with a push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the bass boost).
The bass boost control strengthens the low-end frequencies and fortifies the overall tonal characteristics of the instrument.

Tone can be further refined and tweaked with a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3-band EQ (active only), blend control, and volume control.
With the push/pull selector, you will never have to fear a battery running out and losing sound. A quick pull on the volume knob will bypass the active circuit, making it easy to regain sound from the bass without the use of battery power.
